Itinerary

Day 1

Description

Morning 5.00 am Proceed to Darshan of Mahad Varad Vinayak Temple.  The idol of this temple Varad Vinayak is a swayambu (self originated) and was found in the adjoining lake in an immersed position in 1690 AD. This temple is said to be built by Subhedar Ramji Mahadev Biwalkar.  After Breakfast proceed to Darshan of Pali – Ballaleshwar Temple. Ballaleshwar is the only incarnation of Ganesha that is known by his devotee's name. Have lunch. After lunch drive to Ranjangaon – Mahaganptai Temple.   According to history, the temple was built between 9th & 10th century. Overnight stay at Pune Hotel.

Day 2

Description

Morning 5.00am Get up early for Darshan of Theur – Chintamani. The temple is associated with the Ganapatya saint Morya Gosavi  After Theur, we set out for Siddhatek Siddhivinayak. The Ganesha icon here is with his trunk turned to the right. Usually, the trunk of Ganesha is depicted turned to his left. It is believed that the right-trunked Ganesha is very powerful, but difficult to please. Thereafter, we proceed to Morgaon – Mayureshwar. Morgaon is the adhya pitha – foremost centre of worship of the Ganapatya sect, which considers Ganesha as the Supreme. Late we visit to to Darshan of Jejuri Khandoba. The temple is dedicated to Lord Khandoba, known as  Malhari Martand.   Khandoba is regarded as the 'God of Jejuri' and is held in great reverence by the Dhangars. Overnight stay at Pune.

Day 3

Description

Today we start our tour with darshan of  Ozar – Shri Vighneshwar. The Ganesha form worshipped here is called Vigneshwara - "Remover of obstacles" and is associated with the legend of Ganesha defeating Vignasura, the demon of obstacles. Then we visit  Lenyadri. The Ganesha form worshipped here is called Girijatmaja. The name is either interpreted as "mountain-born" or as "Atmaja of Girija", the son of Parvati. After Lunch proceed to Mumbai. Tour Ends with sweet memories.
